We gladly accept returned parts and accessories subject to the following policies:
All items are shipped with a sales invoice/packing slip enclosed. This is your proof of purchase. If you need to send an item back, a copy of this document MUST accompany your return. Without this, it becomes more difficult to track down your order for processing your credit. This is essential in order to guarantee a smooth parts return process from start to finish.
All return requests are subject to approval by Mike Whatley Honda. You can contact us via email ([email protected]) or telephone (1-601-823-2400) for return authorization/arrangements. Please have your invoice number, date of purchase, full name, and reason for return ready for return consideration. If your return is approved, please include this information with your return. All details of the return are discussed at the time of the return request.
If you need to use fresh packaging and are unsure how to package an item being returned, we recommend you take them to your local UPS store or the US Post Office for proper packaging to avoid damage during transit. All items for return must be repackaged in another box for shipping. DO NOT ADDRESS AND SHIP USING ONLY THE PART/ACCESSORY BOX, RETURN CANNOT BE ACCEPTED FOR CREDIT PER HONDA RETURN POLICY.
Although optional, placing insurance on your package for the full value of contents covers your investment in case of damage during the return transit. We also recommend you use a carrier and method which offers tracking numbers. UPS or US Post Office “certified” or “priority” are examples of such services.
We inspect for damage prior to shipping an item, but accidents can occur during transit. If you receive an item which is damaged, please contact us and the carrier immediately. If your order arrives damaged, and you wait longer than 48 hours, this may exceed the carrier’s time limit for damage claims.
Please retain the shipping carton and all packaging materials; the carriers may want to inspect them prior to approving your claim. Do not return any item(s) prior to our authorization. Upon receipt of the damaged item(s), we will process the return and a pre-approved exchange or refund will be done. If your item is incomplete (ie. missing hardware), contact us immediately. We will forward additional hardware as efficiently as possible.
American Honda charges a CORE deposit on genuine Honda remanufactured parts. This deposit is fully refundable if a used Honda product is returned. The genuine Honda remanufactured parts include the following:
Core charges, when applied, are in addition to the purchase price of the item. If you do not purchase a remanufactured part, there is no possible core charged and no refund is due. Please contact us for a return authorization and instructions prior to shipping the core back.
American Honda charges a core deposit when Honda remanufactured parts are purchased. This core deposit is fully refundable if the used Honda product is returned, and it meets the criteria established by American Honda. The following is the Honda remanufactured core return criteria and also covers the general policies & procedures for the following Honda remanufactured products:
The core must be return in the same box that the remanufactured unit was shipped in. To receive full credit, core must be returned in this box. Cores returned in a box other than the original will NOT be accepted for core credit. The returned core must match the remanufactured unit that was shipped. The part number on the core must match the part number on the box or NO credit will be issued.
Mike Whatley Honda will inspect the returned core for originality and will reject any damaged, disassembled or improperly prepared corers. Cores should be returned within 30 days so that they can be returned to American Honda within time limits. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
Drain any internal fluids and seal inlets and outlets as required by DOT and EPA regulations; failure to do so may result in damage or cleanup costs by shipper. All cores must be fully assembled. A disassembled core will be considered unusable and NO credit will be issued. Cores with visible damage caused by anything other than an internal failure will be rejected outright with NO core credit reimbursement. Pack the core in the shipping container provided. Failure to do so will result in NO credit issued. Non original equipment cores will not receive a credit.
The core must be a Honda Genuine starter or alternator identified by the Honda part label, manufactured by Denso, Delphi, Remy, Hitachi, Mitsuba, CME, Mitsubishi or Isuzu. Cores that have been remanufactured by the aftermarket will NOT be accepted. Alternator core pulleys must turn freely. Frozen cores will NOT qualify for core credit because they cannot be remanufactured. Broken pulleys will NOT be accepted for alternator core credit.
Shipping plates, O-rings and bolts that came with the remanufactured compressor must be returned and securely attached to the core. Broken, damaged, or disassembled cores will NOT qualify for core credit. Core must be a Honda brand product. Frozen or locked compressors will NOT qualify for core credit. Cores that are overheated (dark, discolored, shrunken, bubbled labels, or melted sensors), will NOT be accepted for credit.
DO NOT return the pressurized Gas Accumulator with the modulator. Accumulators are not part of the Remanufactured Parts Program. If a new accumulator is needed for repair, it must be ordered separately. After draining, plug the inlet hole and swell the core in the plastic bag provided.
DO NOT remove pistons or separate the caliper halves. Remanufactured calipers do not include new brake pads or parking brake cable guide brackets. Those parts must be ordered separately.
The core alloy wheel must be an original equipment Honda brand alloy wheel. Return of an aftermarket brand will NOT be accepted. Honda accessory wheels will NOT be accepted, and no credit will be issued. Steel wheels are NOT accepted for core credit.
