When choosing between the Pilot or Odyssey, both have efficient engines with class-leading performance. The difference in performance specs for each vehicle are minimal, as you will experience impressive fuel economy and power with both Honda models. If you opt for the base trim of the Odyssey or Pilot, you will experience the very similar fuel economy between the two vehicles. The only difference is on the highway, as the Odyssey has a slightly better highway MPG than the Pilot.
When comparing the Honda Pilot vs Odyssey, you will notice that each vehicle has a different transmission. The Odyssey is equipped with a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission with Shift-By-Wire (SBW) and sporty paddle shifters on all configurations. The Pilot is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission (9AT), and also includes the Shift-By-Wire (SBW) and paddle shifters. However, these features are only available on the Touring and above trim levels.

Whether you choose the Odyssey or Pilot, you will be welcomed into an interior filled with all the latest technology. These include smartphone compatibility such as Audio Connectivity and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®, which are included in all configurations. If you opt for one of the higher trim levels, you will have access to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, HondaLink®, and Honda satellite-linked navigation™.
